Rue Cambon

I am currently reading Justine Picardie's biography in actual fact it is more of a written retrospective of her life and the stories she told of her past, many of which changed depending on the person she was reciting them too. Chanel was an enigma, but one of the most solid parts of her life was centred around the 31 Rue Cambon the place she built the Chanel magic. She subsequently brought up the surrounding buildings as her success grew and it was fantastic to stand on this iconic street imagining Mademoiselle Chanel walking into the store, through the freshly sprayed Chanel No5, that one of her assistants would have distilled after being informed of her arrival.
